An autonomous, calibrated, scientific echosounder with the unmatched combination of multiple frequency operation, low power consumption, and long endurance that fits your budget.
Long-term, multi-frequency ecosystem monitoring
Monitoring of ecosystem changes including fish and zooplankton distribution at remote sites
Standard size, suitable for multi-year autonomous deployments. AUV options available.
12 month deployments are typical, and may be extended to 18+ months
Choose up to four frequencies: 38, 67.5, 120, 200, 333, 455, 769, and 1250 kHz. Non-standard frequency options are available
The AZFP-nano is a compact, lightweight, single frequency scientific echosounder. A miniaturized version of the AZFP, it is easily portable and well suited for challenging environments. The AZFP-nano is powered by standard D-cell batteries, while the AZFP-pico is powered externally.
Multi-week single-frequency ecosystem monitoring
Deployment from small vessels such as kayaks, attachment to CTD rosettes, integration with uncrewed vehicles
A miniaturized version of the AZFP, it is easily portable and wellsuited for applications in challenging environments where size and weight are important considerations. 200 m rating - Acetal pressure case: 4.90” (124mm) OD x 15.15” (385mm) long. 2000 m rating - Titanium pressure case (external power): 3.50” (89mm) OD x 10.70” (271mm). 4000 m Titanium pressure case: 4.90” (124mm) OD x 14.74” (374mm) long.
Battery-powered for multi-week deployment using common D-cell batteries
200 kHz. Stay tuned for new frequency options
The Acoustic Zooplankton Fish Profiler-ice (AZFP-ice) combines the AZFP's abilities to monitor the presence and abundance of zooplankton, fish, suspended sediments and bubbles within the water column, along with the Ice Profiling Sonar's (IPS) ability to measure ice draft. A powerful tool for scientific research and environmental monitoring in oceans, lakes, and rivers.

ASL is pleased to announce the addition of the Sofar Spotter metocean buoy to its oceanographic equipment product sales lineup. The Sofar Spotter metocean buoy provides real-time wave, wind, sea surface temperature and barometric pressure from a compact, solar powered, rugged designed buoy built to withstand the harshest conditions of the open ocean.
ANB Sensors of Cambridge United Kingdom, have developed a next generation calibration-free, solid-state, multi-parameter pH, conductivity and temperature sensor. Unlike other pH sensors that require frequent re-calibration, the ANB sensors uses a patented technology that automatically carries out in-situ calibrations throughout the deployment.
