Applications

The Acoustic Zooplankton Fish Profiler-ice (AZFP-ice) combines the AZFP's abilities to monitor the presence and abundance of zooplankton, fish, suspended sediments and bubbles within the water column as well as the Ice Profiling Sonar's (IPS) ability to measure ice draft. A powerful calibrated tool for scientific research and environmental monitoring in oceans, lakes and rivers.

  • Can collect data continuously at high temporal and spatial resolution for up to one year

  • The AZFP component is available with up to four frequencies

  • Can be deployed in bottom-mounted frame or taut-line moorings

  • We offer three frequency combinations for the AZFP-ice:     
  • 120, 200, 420* and 769
  • 70, 120, 200 and 420*
  • 38,120, 200 and 420*

  • * In each case, the 420 kHz is the narrow beam IPS transducer
