and current measurement program, 1997, Puerto Huarmey, Peru.
Wave
data were required for berth design for a concentrate loading terminal.
The projects primary requirement was wave direction for berth alignment.
From May - October 1997 a MiniSpec wave gauge was deployed in 14m
of water at the proposed berth site. As well as wave direction,
the MiniSpec provided data on wave height and period, and on current
velocity.

Wave Measurement off the Coast of
Peru.
Directional
wave data were collected as a site near Puerto Eten, on the northern
coast of Peru, for a period spanning six months. These data were
obtained with internally recorded bottom-mounted pressure-velocity
sensors at an inshore location. Data analysis
included computation of a full suite of directional wave parameters,
along with near-bottom ocean currents and water level variations.
The study results were required for choosing a vessel terminal site.
